Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Director 1 to lead the FR&S operating unit within the Air Dominance division for the F-35 program, based in El Segundo, CA. The role guides IPTs across lifecycle phases from proposal through closeout, delivering on quality, cost, schedule and technical performance.

Ideal candidates bring a strong record in program management, earned value discipline and customer engagement, including DoD sustainment experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience, or a STEM degree with sufficient experience.
• 3 years in program or project leadership roles.
• Profit & loss responsibility with demonstrated ability to achieve financial performance targets and use of Earned Value Management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet performance objectives.
• Measure and manage key performance metrics for predictable program results.
• Develop opportunities with customers and primes, e.g., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
• Lead capture planning, proposals, and long-range business planning.
• Optimize resources and manage sub-organizations to meet customer needs.
• Deliver program reviews and updates to management and customers.
• Identify and manage risks/opportunities and drive mitigations.
• Oversee supplier development and contract modifications.
