Job summary

Boeing at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), AK is seeking an experienced F-22 Low Observable Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and upgrades on F-22 systems and structures using TOs, publications, blueprints and drawings.

The role covers electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine systems; requires knowledge of tooling and ability to work variable shifts. Relocation may be considered where eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with F-22 Low Observable Coatings.
• Experience with Low observable processes.
• Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
• Familiarity with aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and shears.
• Willing to work variable shifts.

About this role

F-22 Low Observable Aircraft Mechanic Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced F-22 Aircraft Mechanic at JBER, AK. In this role you will be responsible for performing maintenance repair and sustainment upgrades on F-22 systems and structures. You will utilize aircraft technical orders, publications, blueprints and drawings to perform a variety of maintenance actions on aircraft systems and sub systems including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engines.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and modifies aircraft coating and associated equipment of varying difficulty
• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
• Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting user documentation such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals
• Will be using system theory to troubleshoot various systems
• Working knowledge of technical publications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with F-22 Low Observable Coatings
• Experience with Low observable processes
• Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts
• Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
• Must be willing to work variable shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience repairing, and servicing military fighter aircraft F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35
• 5+ years aircraft maintenance experience
• Experience drilling, cutting, and fabricating aircraft structural components
