Qualifications

• Demonstrated working knowledge of F-1 regulation and direct hands-on experience in SEVIS.
• Ability to write clear procedural documentation for a non-specialist audience.
• Experience training staff or delivering instruction to adult learners.
• Sound judgment handling confidential student records and knowledge of FERPA.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet recurring federal deadlines.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion with federal accountability for SEVIS accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely SEVIS records across the F-1 student lifecycle.
• Complete SEVIS reporting within federally mandated deadlines.
• Serve as the university's point of contact for SEVP and manage the I-17 recertification.
• Reconcile SEVIS records with SIS data and escalate issues to leadership.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on operational implications.
• Produce and maintain written procedures for SEVIS-related processes.
