Job summary

Atlas Eye Center is seeking an experienced optician to guide patients through eyewear selection, take precise measurements, and manage orders to ensure accurate prescriptions and fit. The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and a positive patient experience.

You will collaborate with clinical and front-desk teams, support inventory, and help maintain high standards of eyewear quality. Expect a 40-hour week with some Saturday half-days and a commission-based pay structure.

Qualifications

• Prior optician experience required.
• Strong knowledge of lenses, coatings, frames and optical products.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
• Spanish-speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help patients choose frames and lenses that fit their prescription, face shape, lifestyle, preferences, and budget
• Take accurate optical measurements for lens fitting, frame adjustments, and eyewear orders
• Process, place, and monitor orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Review prescriptions and inspect completed eyewear for accuracy and quality
• Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and minor eyewear maintenance as needed
• Explain lens options, coatings, upgrades, product features, and proper eyewear care to patients
• Assist with maintaining frame, lens, and accessory inventory
• Provide a positive and professional patient experience from selection through final fitting
• Work closely with the clinical and front desk teams to support smooth office operations
