Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for an Optical Associate position in Madison, AL. You will dispense spectacles and optical products, assist patients with lens styles, weights, and frames, and ensure accurate Rx processing.

A strong emphasis on customer service, privacy, and compliance is essential. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience in optical or retail service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, and/or optical industry experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Open shift availability required for full time positions.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Verify Rx data entry and file orders accurately in the system.
• Deliver member service in person and over the phone to drive sales.
• Take measurements and assist with frame selection based on Rx power.
• Explain exam fees and ensure professional, friendly service.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and adhere to club policies.
