Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring for an Optical Associate to dispense spectacles and related products, advising patients on lenses and frames. Responsibilities include reading Rx data, measuring frames, and ensuring accuracy throughout the order process.

The role emphasizes member service, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork within a fast-paced club environment. Experience in optical retail is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, and/or optical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies order data entry and Rx against doctor prescriptions.
• Delivers sales by providing excellent member service in person and over the phone.
• Takes measurements and assists with frame selection and Rx power.
• Reads prescriptions on the lensometer and ensures timely notification of product readiness.
• Provides eyeglass adjustments and repairs; supports opening/closing procedures.
