Job summary

VSP Vision seeks an Optical Associate for Optical Outlets in Florida to assist patients and support the Doctor and Office Manager. You will greet customers, explain processes, and help select frames, lenses, and fittings to meet vision needs and budgets.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a related field, strong MS Office knowledge, and excellent communication skills. Opportunities include bonuses and commissions in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attract and retain customers with excellent service.
• Greet customers and explain the process clearly.
• Assist patients with selecting frames and eyewear.
• Address visual problems and fit issues for customers.
• Process transactions accurately at purchase.
• Serve as a center of excellence for staff with right the first time focus.
• Suggest suitable frames/lenses based on vision, lifestyle, and budget.
• Support other retail staff with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Record measurements and adjust eyewear carefully.
• Report office problems to the Office Manager and perform tasks as directed.
