Job summary

Walmart in Franklin, TN is seeking a full-time Optical Associate to stock and maintain the Optical area while assisting members with eyewear, lenses and fittings. You will process orders, measurements, and payments while upholding HIPAA and company policies and providing friendly, accurate service.

Responsibilities include frame adjustments, repairs, inventory, lab communications, and ensuring proper prescription data.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months of hire to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire or job entry; meet state licensure requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise displays; handle claims, returns, and pricing for Optical area.
• Assist customers with eyewear decisions, measurements, fittings, and repairs; process orders and payments.
• Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and final eyewear inspections; coordinate with labs and optometrists as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and manage insurance claims related to eye care services.

Education
