Job summary

Henry Ford OptimEyes in Southfield is seeking an eyewear dispensing technician to interpret prescriptions, adjust and deliver eyewear, and assist with orders. The role requires ensuring proper fit, educating patients on eyewear care, and using our dispensing process to guarantee accuracy.

The position involves standing for extended periods, evening and weekend hours, and completion of required OptimEyes training. Prior retail/optical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Henry Ford OptimEyes training as directed.
• Previous dispensing/optical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect eyewear and order before delivery.
• Dispense eyewear using the E.A.R.N. for Dispensing process.
• Fit eyewear to patient via frame adjustments and explain care/maintenance.
