Job summary

Sam's Club in Newington, CT is hiring for an Optical Associate. You will assist members with eyewear purchases, measure pupillary distance, perform frame adjustments, process eyewear and contact lens orders, and support OD services under supervision.

You will maintain the Optical area, handle transactions, educate members on eyewear care, ensure HIPAA compliance, and participate in trainings to obtain ABO certification and state licensure as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed or during first year of hire.
• Willingness to obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Ability to meet state licensure/apprenticeship requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with eyewear purchases, measurements and adjustments.
• Process eyewear and contact lens orders and manage pricing in POS.
• Maintain and organize the Optical area and ensure compliance with policies.
• Educate members on eyewear care and support OD services as needed.
