Job summary

Cataract & Laster Institute in Indiana is seeking a Technician to support eye examinations by preparing patients and rooms, performing preliminary tests, and assisting physicians. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive training to help you grow in patient care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, excellent communication, and a commitment to a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment for patients and staff alike.

Qualifications

• No experience is required; training is provided as part of the role.
• Excellent teamwork and communication to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
