Job summary

Cataract & Laser Institute in Mishawaka, IN is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist doctors and support patient care. You will prepare patients for eye examinations, perform preliminary tests, and help with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive training to help you grow in patient care and clinical skills while supporting physicians and the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating about testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and doctor-requested tests on patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized environment for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as determined by office manager or doctors.
