Job summary

Midwest Eye Consultants is seeking a dedicated Technician to support doctors by collecting patient histories, performing preliminary tests, scheduling, and preparing examination rooms to ensure efficient patient care.

The Technician will help maintain a safe, clean environment, assist ophthalmologists and optometrists, and handle various administrative tasks while upholding the practice's standards and patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
