Job summary

Theeyecenterconyers seeks an Optometric Technician I to assist the optometrist and support a flawless patient experience. You will pre-screen patients, administer diagnostic tests, collect medical histories, and coordinate care in a busy clinic.

Requirements include 1+ year of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication, multitasking, organization, and a team-oriented mindset. This is a full-time position reporting to the Practice Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 1+ year of related experience preferred for Optometric Technician role.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screen patients and administer diagnostic tests.
• Gather patient medical histories and coordinate care.
• Communicate with doctors, staff and patients; answer calls and schedule appointments.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage and vision benefits; verify benefits.
