Job summary

Midwest Eye Consultants is seeking a Technician to prepare patients for eye examinations, perform preliminary testing, and assist our physicians with procedures. The role emphasizes patient experience and collaboration with the clinical team.

The Technician will manage room preparation, specimen testing, and smooth patient flow throughout the office, contributing to a compassionate, efficient practice for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
