Sight360 is seeking an Eye Care Professional to interact with customers, assess needs, and recommend eyewear solutions. Responsibilities include frame fitting, taking measurements, and assisting patients with both glasses and contact lenses.

Travel between clinic locations may be required based on operational needs. Happy candidates excel at customer service, have strong communication skills, and can manage multiple patients while maintaining accuracy in prescriptions and care.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Optical experience not required but helpful
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to measure and adjust frames accurately
• Familiarity with basic math and insurance information

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient prescriptions from ophthalmologist or optometrist
• Gather patient information including vision and insurance details
• Schedule, confirm and maintain appointments
• Recommend frames and lenses suited to patient style and specs
• Adjust and fit frames according to prescription and facial features
• Prepare and submit orders to the lab for manufacturing
• Use ophthalmic tools such as lensometer, auto refractor and calipers
• Assist with frame and contact lens inventory and office supplies
• Explain proper wear and care for eyewear and contacts
• Perform administrative duties including follow-ups and communications

Position Summary

The Eye Care Professional is responsible for interacting with customers on a daily basis to uncover needs for the patient's lifestyle and recommend specialized products based on those needs as well as assist patients in frame selection this includes taking measurements, fit, and adjust glasses, troubleshoot patient's vision complaints, and teach customers how to properly wear and care for their eyeglasses and contact lenses. Travel between clinic locations and/or overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's prescription from ophthalmologist or optometrist
• Gather patient's information including vision and medical insurance information
• Schedule, confirm and maintain appointments
• Recommend frames, lenses and products that are suitable for the patient's style, face and specifications
• Adjust and fit frames according to the prescription and patient's specifications, as well as to the patient's face.
• Prepare and submit the order to the proper lab for manufacturing
• Be able to use equipment such as lensometer, auto refractor, pupilometer, calipers and hand tools
• Assist with frame inventory, contact lens inventory, marketing materials and office supplies
• Teaching patients how to wear and care for both contact lenses and eyeglasses
• Repairing or replacing broken frames
• Administrative duties such as filing, following up on orders, following up with patients, answering phones, assisting the doctor with special orders and referrals
