Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant in Seabrook, NH for part-time work. The role focuses on preparing patients for examinations, performing pre-test diagnostics, and guiding patients through both in-person and remote eye exams.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for onsite or remote examination.
• Assist with pre-exam diagnostic tests and document results in EMR.
• Explain testing steps to patients and coordinate with Optometrists.
• Assist remote patients via remote eye exam processes and video conferencing.
• Transition patients to a retail associate with doctor recommendations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and process insurance preauthorizations.
• Schedule appointments and manage exam books with no-shows and cancellations.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care and handling.
