Visionworks is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to help create a great patient experience by preparing patients for both onsite and remote exams, performing pre-exam tests, and guiding them through each step. You will bridge patients and Optometrists, supporting the initial patient journey with accuracy in EMR documentation.

The role requires 1 year of related experience, an optical or healthcare background preferred, and a willingness to travel between stores.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience required.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office/business professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Training provided.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect medical history and ocular data in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and explain preliminary tests.
• Support remote eye exams, including pre-testing and documenting results.
• Coordinate with retail staff to relay doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance and manage exam bookings per SOPs.
• Maintain patient records and ensure clean clinical environments.
• Assist with contact lens orders and inventory as needed.
• Travel to other locations to meet business needs.
