Job summary

Visionworks of America, Inc. is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prepare patients for examinations, perform pre-exam testing, and guide them through the eye care journey.

You will bridge patients and Optometrists and support both onsite and remote exam processes. The role requires at least one year of related experience in optical or healthcare settings, with strong customer service, attention to detail, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for onsite and remote examinations and complete pre-exam diagnostic tests.
• Explain each step of the process to patients.
• Assist onsite and remote eye examinations and document results in EMR.
• Triage ocular emergencies and schedule annual eye exams.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care and order/store lenses.
• Maintain patient records per Company standards and HIPAA policies.
