Job summary

Continental Plastic Corporation in Delavan, Wisconsin is seeking an extrusion technician for the 1st shift (5:00 AM–3:00 PM, Mon–Thu). The role covers startup, configuration, loading, operation, changeovers, and light maintenance to keep lines running at peak efficiency.

You will read orders, follow procedures, monitor output, troubleshoot, and ensure quality parts with minimal waste. A high school diploma and forklift licensure are preferred; LEAN experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education, training, and experience equivalent to a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 months of machine operating experience in an industrial setting.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of machining principles, safety and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to attain forklift licensure.
• Experience with Lean/continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
• Read manuals and production orders to set up, load material, operate, monitor, and maintain equipment.
• Set up and operate production machines per procedures to ensure quality outputs with minimal stops.
• Check outputs, adjust settings to meet specs, and document results.
• Maintain records, communicate across shifts to sustain continuous production.
