Job summary

Bonnell Aluminum in Newnan, GA is seeking a Systems Operator B for the 2nd shift (1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, 40+ hours with potential overtime, some Saturdays). Starting pay is $22.40 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium, with opportunities to earn more.

The role oversees operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the extrusion press and related computer systems. You will set up the press, select dies, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth production.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to pass a skills-based test.
• Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
• Ability to read safety rules, operation & maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the extrusion press.
• Promptly communicate issues to supervisor regarding health, safety, quality and efficiency.
• Inspect parts during extrusion for in-process verification.
• Monitor the extrusion press and handling equipment condition.
• Meet customer-specified quality standards.
• Inspect parts after stretching operation.
• Read and understand shop orders, calipers, micrometers, and prints.
• Run the press and meet all press requirements.
• Read go/no-go gauges after aging; fill check sheets for moving equipment.
• Operate an electric cart and overhead crane.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or team leader.
