Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Machine Operator for the night shift (12:00 AM to 8:00 AM) in Montgomery, Alabama. You will operate and maintain extrusion/draw equipment, follow SOPs, and ensure safety and quality throughout the shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in liners, strong analytical and communication skills, and a forklift license. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing PPE. Overtime and weekend work are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Liners.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and write English for forms and quality checks.
• Must pass PPE and safety requirements, lift 50 pounds.
• Forklift license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain extrusion/draw machinery per established procedures and customer requirements.
• Set up and operate extruder per guidelines.
• Adhere to SOPs and monitor machinery for jams and potential failures.
• Troubleshoot process equipment and perform start-up, setup, and shutdown operations.
• Make precise machine adjustments and line changes as needed.
• Complete safety and quality paperwork regularly.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and ensure materials are available.
• Notify Maintenance of equipment issues using work order system.
• Know plant emergency procedures and all E-stops on lines.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
