Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for a manufacturing role at the St. Marys, WV site. The position starts at $17/hour with a raise to $18/hour after training and a $1.25/hour night differential for night shifts.

A 14/28 rotation balances days and nights, with an 8-day break and 2-day breaks included. Training on the Day Shift is provided. The role supports SimEx Rigid Operators and offers a path to become a Rigid Operator Trainee upon demonstrated progression, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32 inch.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read simple data.
• Ability to interpret instructions and use paperwork.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Must stand/walk on concrete for long periods.
• Ability to move carts in production areas.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to SimEx Rigid Operators in safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping.
• Aim to progress to Rigid Operator Trainee after demonstrating skill progression.
• Prioritize safety as number one on site and follow all rules.
• Perform End of Line quality checks (Cut Length, Surface, Finseal).
• Stack and pack vinyl lineals per rack drawings and paperwork.
• Assist with extrusion line setups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
• Follow housekeeping standards daily and cooperate with team members.
• Assist other departments when needed.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
