Job summary

CMI (Crane Materials International) in Ball Ground, GA seeks an Extrusion Assistant Operator to support the production line on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). The role involves inspecting materials, recording process parameters, and maintaining clean work areas to ensure quality output.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, basic computer and documentation skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of material handling or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer and documentation skills; ability to read production paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and package production materials to meet quality standards.
• Conduct visual and measured inspections using calipers and related tools.
• Complete QC checks, product labeling, and production paperwork accurately.
• Operate production line and record process parameters frequently.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas according to housekeeping standards.
• Assist with die changeovers and in-line cleaning.
• Stock and manage packaging supplies.
• Safely store finished products and communicate safety concerns promptly.
• Work with Leads, Operators, Maintenance Techs and other departments.
