Job summary

CRH is seeking an Operator in Calverton, NY to oversee extrusion lines, ensure safety, and maintain equipment for optimal performance. You will collaborate with supervisors and teammates to produce quality material and may assist with training new operators.

The role requires mechanical knowledge, manufacturing experience, and on-site QA certification, with emphasis on clean work areas and adherence to safety standards in a non-climate-controlled factory setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of mechanical experience required.
• On-site QA certification required.
• Experience in a manufacturing/distribution setting.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motion.
• Comfortable in a loud factory environment and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and protocols.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Set up, maintain tools (dies, calibrators, tanks, templates).
• Troubleshoot extrusion related issues.
• Maintain materials for each extrusion line.
• Ensure scrap and efficiency meet company standards.
• Check and maintain quality.
• Assist Product Inspectors with duties as needed.
• Complete checklists and paperwork.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
• Participate in trainings and safety initiatives.
