Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Production Operator to oversee extrusion lines in a factory setting. The role emphasizes safety, quality checks, and collaboration with supervisors and teammates to maintain top-notch material production.

The position requires on-site work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment with PPE. Prior mechanical experience and a QA certification are preferred, and opportunities for training and growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with demonstrated mechanical knowledge.
• On-site QA certification is required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing/distribution organization.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety procedures and protocols.
• Keeps equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Set up, clean, and maintain tools (dies, calibrators, tanks, and templates, etc.).
• Troubleshoots extrusion related issues.
• Maintains materials for each extrusion line.
• Ensures scrap and efficiency meets company standards.
• Checks and maintains quality.
• Assists Product Inspectors with job duties when able.
• Completes checklists and other paperwork as required.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Performs other various tasks as requested by leadership.
• Communicate professionally with co-workers and keep Supervisor aware of any safety concerns.
