Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking an Operator to oversee extrusion lines with safety as a priority. You will monitor quality, adjust machines, perform basic maintenance, and support training of new operators in a fast-paced factory setting.

Requirements include 1 year of mechanical experience, on-site QA certification, and the ability to work in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment. The role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with demonstrated mechanical knowledge.
• On-site QA certification.
• Experience working in a manufacturing/distribution organization.
• Professional and personable with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety procedures and protocols.
• Keeps equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Sets up, cleans, and maintains tools (dies, calibrators, tanks, and templates).
• Troubleshoots extrusion related issues.
• Maintains materials for each extrusion line.
• Ensures scrap and efficiency meet company standards.
• Checks and maintains quality.
• Assists Product Inspectors with job duties when able.
• Completes checklists and other paperwork as required.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance.
• Performs other tasks as requested by leadership.
• Communicates professionally with co-workers and supervisors about safety concerns.
• Adheres to all company policies and safety regulations.
