Job summary

Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. is seeking a Line Operator for our plastic extrusion production lines in California. The role involves maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency on a 12-hour shift, with 8- or 12-hour options and overtime potential.

You will perform tooling changes, start-ups, and shutdowns, monitor output, complete shift reports, and collaborate with the team to meet production targets. A High School Diploma and basic math/reading skills are required; manufacturing experience

Qualifications

Mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
Basic computer skills.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate heavy machinery, e.g. forklifts, in a safe manner.
Reading and Writing skills.
Self-motivated.

Responsibilities

Embraces a culture of safety.
Manages a plastic extrusion line to ensure finished goods meet quality specifications.
Utilizes standard operating procedures to run the line within specifications.
Leads line tooling changes, start-ups and shutdowns.
Maintains a safe work environment with PPE and housekeeping compliance.
Completes shift production and reporting paperwork.
Conducts regular product sampling to ensure consistent quality.
Meets or exceeds standard production efficiencies on all lines.
