Job summary

Mativ is seeking an Operator I Extruder for the 1st shift to efficiently and safely operate an extrusion line, including setup, startup, and troubleshooting. The role requires reading schedules, BOMs, and SOCs, and ensuring product quality and proper packaging. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities include tooling setup, resuming operation after changes, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The position emphasizes accuracy in data entry and process control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in use of calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
• Read & understand the Metric & English (US Customary) measuring system.
• Able to read ruler measurement to nearest
• Able to convert measurements from one system to another.

Responsibilities

• Set up the extrusion line according to schedule.
• Read and understand the schedule, BOM, and SOC.
• Select proper tooling and install tooling.
• Insure correct resin; start up the extrusion machine per schedule.
• Position controls, activate drives, test initial product and make adjustments.
• Verify product is in spec and package per instructions.
• Troubleshoot the process and perform QC per SOC.
• Enter data in the data collection system and store finished product.
• Adhere to Food Safety Regulations as applicable.
