Ridge Corporation in Ohio seeks an Extruder Operator to join the production team. Read instructions, set up the extruder, and safely operate equipment to meet daily production goals while coordinating with safety, quality and engineering staff.

Requires teamwork, good time management and clear communication. Perform quality checks, record machine settings, and support ERP data entry. We offer a competitive benefits package after 30 days, including medical, dental, vision, 401K and paid holidays.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Two months related experience in machine operation or maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of safety and LOTO procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Read and follow work instructions.
• Set up extruder at correct temperature and cleanse die head.
• Safely operate crane to handle regrind and unload.
• Operate stand up forklift to move materials.
• Perform and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out safety standards.
• Record machine settings for continuous improvement.
• Assist with ERP data entry and management.
• Perform quality inspections (pellet size, melt flow, moisture, voids).
• Meet or exceed production standards.

Job Title:Extruder Operator

Location:Frazeysburg, OH

Schedule:Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm OT Friday 6am-2:30pm

(2) 15 min paid breaks and (1) 30 min unpaid lunch

Pay Rate:Starting up to $19.25/hr

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate should have manufacturing experience with machine operation or maintenance experience. Candidate must be comfortable working in production as part of a team with specific production goals. Previous work experience in a fast-paced industrial environment is required. The person selected will be working directly with other members of the production team, safety, quality and engineering.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Read and follow work instructions
• Properly and safely set up Extruder at correct temperature and cleansed die head
• Safely operate crane to pick up regrind flake and unload it into the hopper.
• Operate stand up forklift to move material from bagging area to scale to be weighed and labeled.
• Perform and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out safety standards
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and independently troubleshoot
• Read and record machine settings for continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with data entry and management through ERP system
• Perform Quality Inspections (pellet size, melt flow, surface moisture, pellet voids, etc.)
• Meet / Exceed production standards
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Self-Motivated
• Follows Company safety and department policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and clean work environment following the 5S methodology
• Makes recommendations to continually improve processes
• Performes other duties as assigned

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Proven commitment to quality complaince and productivity
• Two months job related experience required, including machine operator / maintenance
• Ability to identify thermal, electrical and mechanical conveyance concerns
• Ability to follow work instructions from start up to shut down
• Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
• Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions

Workplace Experience:

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Ergonomic Requirements:

• Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time
• Ability to use Power Tools safely
