Boltaron is seeking an Extruder Operator for the Afternoon Shift (3p-11p) in Newcomerstown, OH. The role sets up and runs the extruder line under supervision to ensure continuous operation.

You will handle setup tasks, measure outputs, and maintain safe, clean working conditions while following safety protocols. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, strong math and computer skills, familiarity with micrometers and tape measures, and a collaborative mindset.

Summary/Objective
The Extruder Operator position sets up and ensures the continuous operation of the extruder line(s) under supervision and direction of the production supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Completes machine set up and performs various tasks: torque die by hand, scoop color, move drums, connect equipment, turn knobs, push buttons, move sheet.
• Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and measuring devices.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat, moving mechanical parts, and possible fumes.

Physical Demands

The employee must stand 8-12 hours per day and is occasionally required to bend, squat, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift. Additional hours during the week or on weekends may be required according to production demands.
