If you enjoy working with your hands, operating high-tech machinery, and ensuring products are built to perfect specifications, this is the role for you. Extruder is the process of shaping material by forcing it through a machine to create a continuous shape—in our case, the protective \"jacket\" or coating that goes around wires and cables. As an Extruder Assistant, you will support the Lead Operator in running a high-speed production line that transforms raw materials into finished industrial cables.**Key Duties and Responsibilities:*** Machine Coordination: You’ll manage \"Take-Up\" machines—large motorized reels that neatly wind the finished cable as it comes off the line—ensuring the tension is perfect and the product is ready for shipping.* Precision Testing: Using specialized tools like calipers (digital measuring devices), you will verify that the cable walls are the exact thickness required for safety and performance.* Digital Branding: You will program inkjet systems to print vital safety codes and branding directly onto the cable jacket.* Quality Verification: Ensure that every foot of cable created is built to exact specifications, labeled correctly, and packaged securely.**Required Qualifications:*** Operational Excellence: Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict productivity standards.
