Advanced Digital Cable, Inc. is hiring an Extruder Assistant to join our Hayesville, NC manufacturing team. You will support the Lead Operator on a high-speed line, shaping material and applying protective jackets to wires and cables.

You’ll assist in running the extrusion process, ensuring accuracy and quality while working with high-tech machinery in a high-demand environment. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits on site.

• Quality Verification: ensure cables meet exact specs and are properly labeled and packed.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-orientedExtruderAssistantto join our manufacturing team. If you enjoy working with your hands,operatinghigh-tech machinery, and ensuring products are built to perfect specifications, this is the role for you.Extruderis the process of shapingmaterial byforcing it through a machine to create a continuous shape—in our case, the protective "jacket" or coating that goes around wires and cables.As an ExtruderAssistant, you will support the Lead Operator in running a high-speed production line that transforms raw materials into finished industrial cables.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Machine Coordination:You’llmanage "Take-Up" machines—large motorizedreels that neatly wind the finished cable as it comes off the line—ensuring the tension isperfectand the product is ready for shipping.
• Precision Testing: Using specialized tools like calipers (digital measuring devices), you will verify that the cable walls are the exact thicknessrequiredfor safety and performance.
• Digital Branding: You will program inkjet systems to print vital safety codes and branding directly onto the cable jacket.
• Quality Verification:Ensure that every foot of cablecreatedis built to exact specifications, labeled correctly, and packaged securely.

Required Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour (notice shift differentials below)

• First Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Mon-Fri
