Abbott is seeking an Extraction Laboratory Technician II for our Toxicology Division in Santa Rosa, CA. You will prepare specimens for routine drug testing following SOPs and ensure proper documentation.

Responsibilities include extracting analytes, loading batches onto instruments, and maintaining chain-of-custody records while upholding a safe work environment. Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field is required, with safety emphasis in handling specimens and chemicals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field.
• The ability to work safely with biological specimens, chemicals, equipment, and instruments.

Responsabilités

• Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures
• Identify specimens scheduled for analysis and assemble batches
• Pipette biological specimens and standards in varying volumes
• Prepare and extract analytes for instrumental analysis
• Load prepared batches onto analytical instruments and start runs
• Maintain Chain of Custody batch documentation
• Communicate with supervisors and escalate challenges
• Maintain a safe healthful work environment
