Job summary

Cordant is seeking a self-motivated Extractions Lab Technician to join Laboratory Operations in Flagstaff, AZ. You will prepare biological specimens for LC/MS-MS analysis under supervision, handling urine and oral fluids with strict custody documentation.

The role requires a science degree and focuses on precise sample prep, data entry, and high-volume workflow in a compliant lab setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a science-related field required.
Laboratory experience preferred.
Data entry skills (alpha and numeric keyboarding) required.
Strong hand-eye coordination required.
Ability to work in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Aliquot urine and/or oral fluid specimens for sample preparation procedures.
Perform sample preparation techniques including specimen hydrolysis, solid phase extraction, and liquid-liquid extraction in accordance with laboratory SOPs.
Prepare samples for liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) analysis.
Prepare and restock reagents and buffers as needed.
Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
Troubleshoot issues as necessary and escalated when appropriate.
Maintain accurate records associated with specimen preparation and chain of custody.
Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with education, training, and abilities.
