Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Extraction Lab Technician to join the Lab Operations team. You will prepare samples for analysis, handling urine and oral fluid specimens, and ensure chain-of-custody documentation and data entry accuracy.

The position runs M-F, 10am-6:30pm, with salary noted as $20.00 per hour and a $2.00 shift differential for hours between 6pm-6am. Relevant science degree and lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a science field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Pre-med, Forensics & Toxicology) REQUIRED.
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Data entry skills via a keyboard (alpha and numeric) required.
• Strong eye-hand coordination, required.
• Ability to handle a high-volume environment while maintaining the highest level of quality, required.

Responsibilities

• Aliquot urine and/or oral fluid specimens for sample preparation procedures.
• Perform sample preparation techniques including hydrolysis, solid phase extraction, and liquid-liquid extraction per SOP.
• Prepare samples for LC/MS-MS analysis.
• Prepare and restock reagents and buffers as needed.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Troubleshoot problems as necessary.
• Record-keeping for specimen preparation and chain of custody.
