The Extra Duty Coordinator at Pasco Sheriff's Office handles requests from public or private entities to hire deputies for off-duty security work such as traffic or crowd control, or crime prevention duties requiring a uniformed presence. The role requires professionalism, strong vendor relations by phone and in person, and effective time management.
You will prepare and coordinate contracts, maintain accurate records and reports, and ensure all requirements are met.
The Extra Duty Coordinator is responsible for considering and accommodating requests by public or private entities to hire eligible members, during their off-duty hours, to perform security related employment activities such as: traffic control, crowd control, or crime prevention duties requiring a uniformed presence. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and rapport with vendors and deputies both via telephone and in-person, in addition to effective time management skills is required. Incumbent must prepare, explain and coordinate contractual obligations to vendors and follow-up to ensure requirements are met. Maintenance of accurate records, files, reports and other written and statistical data will be required. EOE/ADA

This position is not eligible for an assigned agency vehicle.

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required. Accounting experience helpful to include accounts payable and receivable. Must maintain a valid Florida driver license at all times. Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required.
