Concorde seeks a Medical Assist Extern Coordinator to manage externship activity, track outcomes, and report progress as part of the Academic Affairs Department. The role ensures externship objectives align with graduation requirements and supports the transition from didactics to hands-on training.

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to develop externship sites, coordinate site visits, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Must meet appropriate teacher qualifications for the program.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve extern to hire metric; target 50% extern-to-hire.
• Develop new externship sites.
• Assist in student job lead development.
• Assign students to externship sites with Program Director.
• Conduct site visits and complete reports promptly.
• Supervise externship training per Academic Affairs policies.
• Coordinate externship information exchange with Program Director/Registrar.
• Attend and direct externship orientation.
• Ensure timely receipt of reports from students and sites.
• Review externship evaluations and relay info to the Program Director.
• Advise externs as needed.
• Participate in department and advisory board meetings.
