Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A master's degree or CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting with GAAP/STAT reporting.
• Experience with insurance reporting requirements and financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of The Bluebook and fronting agreements processes.
• Excellent auditing skills and ability to manage audits.
• Strong relationships with reinsurance partners and collaboration.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to present complex financials clearly.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of external reports per GAAP, STAT and insurance rules.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements (balance sheets, income, cash flow).
• Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors for compliance.
• Utilize Bluebook knowledge to manage insurance reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with reinsurance partners and fronting agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data accuracy.
• Identify and implement processes to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
