Job summary

Helmerich & Payne (H&P) is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support external financial reporting activities and technical accounting tasks. The role is based in Tulsa, OK, and requires a CPA candidate or CPA and 1–3+ years of accounting experience.

The candidate will help prepare quarterly and annual SEC reports, respond to audit questions, and contribute to process improvements. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and communication skills, plus the ability to work effectively

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate
• 1–3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret accounting information
• Self-motivated with initiative to own projects

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports, including MD&A, using Wdesk
• Assist with audit questions and prepare audit information requests
• Prepare tie-out packages of external and internal reports
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Provide technical accounting assistance on special projects
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Handle other tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned
