Helmerich & Payne, Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to assist with external financial reporting and technical accounting. The role reports to the Senior Manager of External Reporting and supports quarterly/annual SEC filings and audit requests in a onsite Tulsa environment.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s in accounting, 1–3+ years accounting experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of Wdesk, Hyperion, and Oracle is beneficial.

At a Glance:

The Financial Reporting Analyst reports to the Senior Manager of External Reporting and is responsible for assisting with the company’s external financial reporting activities and providing technical accounting assistance.

What you will do:

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports, including MD&A, utilizing the Wdesk platform
• Assist with audit questions and prepare audit information requests
• Prepare tie-out packages of external and internal reports
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Provide technical accounting assistance with special projects
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives
• Other tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned

What you need:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting CPA or CPA candidate 1 - 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret accounting information
• Excellent computer skills and able to effectively work and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Candidate must be self-motivated, take the initiative to accomplish work and take ownership of projects assigned
• Not a must, but a plus Experience working with Wdesk Big 4 public accounting firm strongly preferred Experience in the oil field service industry strongly preferred Knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle preferred
