Job summary

AnnieMac Home Mortgage is hiring a Full Time External Mortgage Loan Originator to establish referral relationships with real estate brokers and external sources, generating a steady loan volume outside of AnnieMac offices.

Responsibilities include meeting borrowers, pre-qualifying, presenting loan options, collecting documents, and guiding clients from application to closing. Travel is required about 80% of the time; benefits include medical, dental, vision plans and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must have appropriate state license or certificate (varies by state).
• Thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage insurers.
• Working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and private investors.
• Familiar with local, state and national laws (e.g. Truth-in-Lending, RESPA).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to analyze financial information; sales-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is to sell mortgage loans to customers outside AnnieMac offices; work outside sales.
• Generate new business by building relationships with realtors, title officers, CPAs, and other professionals.
• Participate in closings, open houses, and lead-generation activities.
• Take borrower information and fill out the loan application; pre-qualify borrowers.
• Counsel borrowers on loan products, closing costs, and monthly payments.
• Maintain contact with borrowers and referral partners from application to closing.
