Job summary

AnnieMac Home Mortgage is seeking Full Time External Mortgage Loan Originators to establish referral relationships for a steady flow of loan volume from real estate brokers and other external sources. Candidates should have experience directly related to the Mortgage Industry.

Work involves traveling to real estate offices, closings, and seminars, while building a network of referral partners to generate new customers and close loans.

Qualifications

• Must have appropriate state license or certificate (varies by state).
• Thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of mortgage insurers.
• Working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility for FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA and investors.
• Familiar with local, state and national laws (e.g. Truth-in-Lending, RESPA).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze financial information.
• Sales-oriented self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Primary duty is to sell mortgage loans away from AnnieMac offices; sales support overall.
• Generate new business by building and maintaining realtors, title/escrow officers, CPAs and advisers relationships.
• Attend closings, open houses, seminars and other lead-generating activities.
• Take borrower information and fill out the loan application.
• Develop referral partner relationships to generate customers.
• Analyze income and debt to pre-qualify borrowers for affordability.
• Counsel borrowers on loan products, costs, and monthly payments.
• Collect financial documents and provide disclosures (TIL, GFE, etc.).
• Maintain regular contact with borrowers and partners through process.
• Order legal documents and review HUDs prior to closing.
