Washington Trust Bank’s Home Loan Division is seeking an external mortgage loan officer in Pullman, WA. You will source your own business through professional relationships, realtor referrals, and repeat clients, while meeting production goals.

Bring a can-do attitude, collaborate with teams, and uphold integrity as you manage loan applications from initial contact through closing in a relationship-driven banking environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan officer.
• Knowledge of real estate and mortgage banking industry.
• Knowledge of Truth-in-Lending and compliance with government regulations.
• Ability to obtain Mortgage Loan Originator (NMLS) registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with real estate agents to generate referrals for mortgage customers.
• Complete loan applications and liaise between customer and Home Loan Division (HLD).
• Pre-qualify self-employed borrowers and analyze financial records/tax returns.
• Maintain loan file from application to closing and coordinate with processors.
• Cross-sell Washington Trust Bank products and meet production goals.
• Maintain timely communication with customers and partners.
• Perform compliance and risk management duties as required.
