Washington Trust Bank's Home Loan Division seeks an experienced external Mortgage Loan Officer who sources business through professional relationships, realtor referrals, and repeat clients. Build relationships with real estate agents and pre-qualify self-employed borrowers, guiding loan apps to closing.

Candidates should have 3+ years of mortgage loan experience, strong integrity, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the HLD team across Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of real estate and mortgage banking industry.
• Experience with mortgage loan programs (conventional, FHA, VA) and construction loans.
• Ability to work independently within a team and manage multiple files.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and develops relationships with real estate agents to refer mortgage customers.
• Completes loan applications with customers and acts as liaison between customer and Home Loan Division.
• Represents Washington Trust Bank to real estate companies and potential borrowers.
• Pre-qualifies self-employed borrowers, analyzes financial records and tax returns.
• Maintains loan file from application through closing and coordinates with processors.
• Balances time between office and community to promote the Bank and ensure timely communication.
• Cross-sells WTB products and services and meets production goals.
