Great Plains Manufacturing in Salina, KS is seeking an External Logistics Manager to join our team. This on-site role based in our Corporate office reports to the Director of Procurement and Production Control, with a typical schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m. You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities for the external logistics team, manage vendors, analyze results and forecast data, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to meet company goals while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4–10 years in logistics/management.
• Experience leading logistics teams and coaching staff.
• Strong analytical skills for performance, expenses, forecasts.
• Ability to build relationships with vendors, customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of transportation pricing, carrier management, distribution.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills for priorities.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate external logistics activities.
• Review logistics results and forecast data to track goals.
• Collaborate with admin team to align goals with conditions.
• Lead External Logistics team; hire and coach staff.
• Coordinate transportation pricing and product distribution.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth performance.
• Ensure safety regulations and proper protective equipment.
