The Revenue Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the revenue audit department and staff. Supervisors ensure that all documents and reports are generated, completed, and reviewed in accordance with the Code of State Regulations and the company's accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Revenue Audit department’s general accounting for revenue and auditing reporting, internal controls, statistical reporting, daily distribution of non-gaming and casino performance, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and upload revenue journal entries to the general ledger for all revenues and related expenses.
- Prepare and analyze audit paperwork and reports; develop and implement recommendations for improved efficiency.
- Assist, monitor, and review daily audits in areas such as Cage, Slots, Jackpots/W-2Gs, Table Games, Poker, F&B, Gift Shop, Manual Comps/Adjustments, and Tax Submissions.
- Improve staff effectiveness through coaching, counseling, training, and disciplinary actions; plan, delegate, monitor, and appraise job tasks and results.
- Coordinate office technology needs; ensure staff is trained on systems, policies, and procedures.
- Represent Live! Casino to external agencies, consultants, and other organizations.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Skills to Help You Succeed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Aristocrat systems (PitBOSS, Super-Playmate, BlackBart, Marketing Manager), as well as NEWave, Micros, and Kronos.
- Ability to use a 10-key keypad effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communication across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills; proficient in creating and analyzing spreadsheets.
- Team player with the ability to work under stress professionally.
- Analytical thinking, basic math skills, and ability to interpret spreadsheets, emails, and procedures.
- Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- One to two years of casino experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Two years of experience in a Revenue Audit department.
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in an environment with alcohol and smoking.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Gaming Control Board or other regulatory entities.
