Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer SME to support testing of new Ground Infrastructure for a customer demonstration program. The role is part-time/on-call with potential full-time weeks and travel as needed.

The SIT/SME will helper with design, development, evaluation and modification of end-to-end systems throughout their life cycle. Responsibilities include developing requirements, verifying compliance, coordinating standards, reviewing interfaces, and leading milestone reviews

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; 14 years with MS/MA; 10 years with Ph.D.
• 10 years of experience in network systems engineering, with a focus on development, integration, and testing.
• Active/current TS/SCI security clearance - US citizenship is required.
• In-depth understanding of systems, networks, and testing and interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Develops quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
• Ensures requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods (RVTM).
• Establishes and coordinates standards, practices, and procedures related to integration, verification and validation of ground infrastructure.
• Reviews and refines interfaces and brings system elements together to work as a whole and assesses performance using evaluation criteria and TP measures.
• Leads or participates in design/major milestone reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure traceability of requirements and validation.
• Develops test plans/procedures and ensures they meet contractual requirements and participates in testing to integrate, verify and validate requirements.
• Executes test plans/procedures to meet objectives in testing process.
• Coordinate activities among multiple internal groups, enterprise services, and mission teams.
• Assist the customer with scheduling, tracking actions, gathering requirements and collecting data.

Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer SME to support Testing of new Ground Infrastructure for a customer demonstration program.

Position is part-time / on call with the possibility of full time some weeks and with travel support as needed.

The successful SIT/SME candidate uses a holistic approach to assist with design, development, evaluation and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develops quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
• Ensures requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods (RVTM).
• Establishes and coordinates use of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall integration, verification, and validation of the ground infrastructure.
• Reviews and refines interfaces and brings system elements together to work as a whole and assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
• Leads or participates in design/major milestone reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
• Develops test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to integrate, verify and validate requirements.
• Execute test plans/procedures to meet objectives in the testing process.
• Integrate activities among multiple internal groups, enterprise services, and mission
• Assist the customer with scheduling, tracking actions, gathering requirements and collecting data across efforts.
• Participates in/facilitates TEMs, develops agendas, records minutes, tracks actions
• Domestic travel up to 1 to 2 times per month may be necessary

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.
• 10 years of experience in network systems engineering, with a focus on development, integration, and testing.
• Active/current TS/SCI security clearance - USCitizen ship isrequired
• In-depth understanding of systems, networks, and testing: including operational use, design principles, and interoperability with other systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Experience in system integration, testing, and validation.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
