Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mission Engineer & Integrator in McLean, Virginia to provide technical and operational expertise for planning and execution of missions. You will support deployment of operational technology systems and contribute to risk management and governance across programs.

Onsite Mon-Fri with occasional travel up to 10% depending on customer needs. You will write operational correspondence, analyze evolving requirements, and advise on end-to-end system capabilities and trade studies

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Minimum 12 years with BS/BA; 10 years with MS/MA; 7 years with PhD; additional four years may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience working in a customer environment and significant background supporting technical operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational expertise for operations planning and execution.
• Support deployment of operational technology systems, including overseas deployments as directed by sponsor.
• Write or contribute to operational correspondence and approval processes.
• Monitor incoming operational correspondence and identify action items for response.
• Assist sponsor personnel conducting risk management and governance responsibilities.
• Leverage professional network across organizational boundaries to streamline problem-solving.
• Analyze situational conditions to identify technologies, capabilities, systems, and equipment to meet operational requirements.
• Support the generation of, and updates to, concepts of operations.
• Provide operational input to the development of new systems, capabilities, and equipment.
• Provide tradecraft recommendations and best practices during operations planning, assessment, and approvals.
• Ensure technical and operational constraints are communicated and addressed as part of planning.
• Perform trade studies and recommend system modifications and upgrades.
• Support development of operational procedures including contingencies.
• Provide recommendations regarding end-to-end system capability gaps affecting usability and operability.
• Review all-source reporting to produce counterintelligence guidance on risks and mitigations.
• Perform security and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Validate and verify operational and technical requirements.

• Review all-source reporting on assigned portfolios to produce counterintelligence guidance on inherent or known risks and mitigations surrounding the use of technology;
• Perform technical security and risk assessments toidentifypoints of vulnerability and operational security risks, and recommend risk mitigation strategies;
• Validate and verify operational and technical requirements

**This role requires the candidate to perform duties onsite Mon-Fri. May require 10% travel, based on customer needs**

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
