The External Communications Manager plays a crucial role as the official spokesperson for Mosaic in North America, with an expanded role of managing Media Relations globally. This role involves representing the company in various media engagements, including being on camera as needed. The External
Communications Manager is responsible for building external communication strategy, with specific focus to Media Relations, Crisis Management and External Communications. This position will also work closely with Marketing and Commercial functions to establish a fluid and aligned strategy in terms of external positioning of the company and its products.
This position is fundamental in strengthening the company's presence in different regions and ensuring consistency and effectiveness. The External Communications Manager will work in partnership with other Communications leaders, especially its peers, to ensure alignment and cross-collaboration between all functions and members of the team.
What will you do?
Serve as the primary media relations point of contact in North America, handling all media inquiries and acting as the company's spokesperson in various media engagements. Prepare and deliver press releases, media kits, and other communication materialsto ensure consistent and effective messaging for North America.
Manage and oversee media relations strategy for all regions (North America, South America and Asia), including coordinating globally the media training strategy for company representativesto ensure they are well-prepared for media interactions, as well as trainings for crisis preparedness.
Manage crisis process as needed throughout the company, supporting the business needs and aligning strategy with BPs involved, ensuring all materials are up to date and that the execution is in place.
Act as a business partner of communication for Commercial organization, partnering with Marketing team to ensure consistency and alignment on messaging and coordination in narrative.
Collaborate with advocacy comms and government relations teams, Communications BPs, Delivery and Public Affairs BPs.
Manage and develop the team and ensure alignment with the company’s strategy and culture, helping them to grow and learn with Mosaic and comms team.
What do you need for this role?
Bachelor's degree required with major in Communications, Journalism, Arts, Public Relations or related field
Post Graduate Diploma preferred
5+ years' experience in Media Relations
5+ years of senior experience in Internal and External communication process preferred
